This beautiful piece of mid-century elegant glass carries a fascinating dual history. While the rose-pink glass body was manufactured by the Fostoria Glass Company under their Versailles pattern, it was customized by the luxury artisan decorating firm, the Lotus Glass Company. Lotus craftsmen purchased high-end glass blanks and elevated them with intricate acid-etched border patterns and hand-applied twenty-two karat gold gilt bands.

The lid features a signature fleur-de-lis finial handle, while the base is divided into three separate compartments originally used to serve assorted candies or tabletop relishes. What makes this piece highly unique for collectors is that it still retains its original paper foil label on the inside of the lid, which clearly reveals the "Lotus" brand name upon close inspection—a delicate detail that rarely survived decades of use.

The pink glass structure is pristine with no chips or cracks. The twenty-two karat gold gilt rim shows noticeable flaking and cosmetic wear from age, which is fully factored into the price, but the rare historical label makes it a standout display piece.
